Howarth Security Installations was established in 2004 by Steve Howarth following 20 years in the security industry. Starting out as an apprentice in 1983 he climbed his way through the ranks to become Installation Engineer, Service Engineer then on to becoming Installation Manager of a national company before setting up Howarth Security Installations back in November 2004. We achieved N.S.I silver accreditation in October 2008 continuously receiving straight ‘A’ audited systems year on year to present day. Howarth Security Installations are a Bolton based company that covers the North West of England with installations extending as far as the Scottish borders and North Yorkshire. We install, service and maintain systems including Small Domestic, Large Domestic, Small Commercial and Large Commercial with police response and remote monitoring.
All systems are installed to BS8243 and PD6662 2017. We also offer Grade 2, Grade 3 and Grade 4 and Police response

Steve lives in Westhoughton and founded the business in 2004 following 20+ years experience in the industry, starting out as an apprentice at the age of 17, working his way up to being an Engineer and then on to being Installation Manager at a national company. In his spare time Steve enjoys following his beloved Bolton Wanderers and carp fishing.
Installation Engineer
Dave lives in Horwich and has over 30 years of experience installing intruder alarms, CCTV and door access systems. Dave and Steve have worked together for over 25 years before Howarth Security Installations was formed back in 2004. When Dave isn’t working he enjoys watching live music and spending time with his family.
Installation Engineer
Jack lives in Stockport and joined the team back in 2015, having also attended Hopwood Hall College to complete his Level 2 City and Guilds in Electronic Security, as well as learning the trade with Howarth Security Installations. When Jack isn’t installing security systems he enjoys watching Manchester United and motor racing.
Installation Engineer
Jacob lives in Chorley and joined the team back in November 2021 following 2+ years hands on experience working in the industry. Since working at Howarth Security Installations, Jacob has become a valued member of the team. In his spare time he enjoys going to the cinema and spending time with his family.
Apprentice Engineer
Owen lives in Horwich and joined the team back in September 2021. Owen is currently attending Hopwood Hall College and studying to complete his Level 2 City and Guilds in Electronic Fire and Security. In his spare time Owen enjoys watching Manchester United and spending time with friends.
Office Administrator
Louise lives in Smithills and joined the team back in 2020. Louise carries out office administration on a weekly basis and in her spare time she enjoys restoring old furniture and going out for lunch with friends.
